Where to register for the TCF Canada
The TCF Canada is run by France Éducation International through a network of approved test centres. There is no central registration site: you register directly with the centre of your choice, in Canada or abroad.
The official, up-to-date list of approved centres is published on the France Éducation International website.
The concrete steps
- Pick the centre closest to you (or with the earliest session) from the official list.
- Check available sessions: dates, frequency, seats.
- Prepare the documents the centre requires — usually valid photo ID (exact requirements vary by centre).
- Pay the fee set by the centre.
- Receive your convocation with the exam schedule.
⚠️ Dates, fees and procedures are centre-specific: always confirm with the centre you choose.
On exam day
- Bring the ID named in your convocation.
- All four sections take place the same day: listening, reading, speaking, writing.
- Results arrive as a certificate with a limited validity period — check the validity IRCC requires for your application.
The classic mistake
Registering before being ready. An exam seat does not wait for your preparation: start with a level assessment, prepare the sections, then register once your mock results reach the target.
